Grown in the lower-altitude, more temperate vineyards of Bockenheim in the Pfalz region, this Chardonnay is fruit-driven and is robust enough to handle the subtle use of oak. It has a refreshing stone fruit flavour with a hint of butter and spice.

Vinification

Only the fully ripe grapes are destemmed by hand and left on the skins for 12 hours before being pressed and transferred to French barriques or 500-litre tonneaux, 75% of which are new wood. Fermentation is followed by bâtonnage, the stirring of the lees during the fermentation process, over a period of 4 months.
