Barbera d'Alba Cascina Nuova 2021

In the region of La Morra, the noble Nebbiolo grape usually gets all the glory and the most luxurious treatment from the winemakers. In this case, it is the other local grape, Barbera, that has received the most generous treatment from the winemaker. Unlike the classic Barbera d'Albas, which are usually aged in stainless steel to retain their fruitiness, this one has been aged in oak for 18 months. The result is a smokier, more refined Barbera that demands our most devoted attention and treatment.
