VERTICAL TASTINGS
We will organise vertical tastings with two of our winemakers on Monday in Toscanini.
We have carefully selected a range of different wines and older vintages from our archives.

Caroline Pobitzer from Pian dell’Orino, Montalcino
13:00 – 14:00
Will guide you through a vertical tasting of older vintages and the different qualities and plots they make from their vineyards in Montalcino. Jan and Caroline could potentially make all wines Brunello, but they don’t.
Every plot and vine has its own character and potential. The selection criteria for all the wines is meticulous and every vintage is created differently. Get to know more of their perspective on the famous grape Brunello from Montalcino.

Christoph Küntzli from Le Piane, Boca
14:30 – 15:30
Is going to take you on a journey through the vineyards in the village of Boca on the foothills of the Alps. He will show you the ageing potential of nebbiolo from Boca, a style completely different compared to the much warmer Barolo area. The higher altitude and cooling influence from the Alps, creates wines that are distinctive in terms of freshness, minerality and vibrancy.

WINEMAKERS DINNER
After the tasting on Monday there will be a 5-course dinner with the winemakers at Toscanini.
Leonardo Pacenti and his team will create a great menu that pairs perfectly with bottles from our winemakers.
